The preview of the latest updates to Windows 10, which should be available sometime in the second half of this year, shows some interesting new features.
Firstly, there is now a Linux icon on the Explorer menu, allowing Linux users to get direct access to their distros, finally giving them the same convenient access to their files as those who only work in Windows enjoy.
In the Storage Settings, there is a useful new feature where cleanup recommendations can be seen; unused files, temporary caches, and so on will be displayed for you to decide whether you can remove them and free up operating space on your computer.
Lastly, a News Bar is now available (particularly valuable in these times) with a rolling ticker of breaking news throughout the day drawn from more than 4500 news outlets, with the option to click through and read the full story. At the moment only news and stock exchange prices are available, but sports and weather will soon be added, and it will be possible to customize the bar to suit your interests.
